A Wave of Cedars, “Away with Syria”

Lebanon citizens’ anti-Syria rally, which began after the assassination of Prime Minister Rafik Hariri on February 14, continued into its third week. At Lebanese capital Beirut’s Martyrs’ Square on March 7, a crowd of over 100,000 cried for Syria’s withdrawal from Lebanon while waving the Lebanese flag, with its signature cedar pattern.
