The Ministry of Defense has decided to dispatch the naval landing vessel Hyangrobong to Banda Aceh, which suffered massive tsunami damage, on January 14 in order to deliver relief supplies and recovery equipment. The Hyangrobong will carry eight excavators, six 3.5-ton trucks, 1,000 blankets, 1,000 boxes of food, and various medical supplies. The supplies and equipment are due to be handed over to the Indonesian government around January 29.
