The South Korean Zaitoon unit delivered a hundred soccer balls of hope to a rural village named Bahirka, north of Arbil, Iraq where they are stationed. The force plans to give 50,000 soccer balls, donated last March by Dong-A Ilbo newspaper, to Iraqi children. Soldiers are unloading soccer balls from a truck (left). A happy Iraqi child is shown after receiving a soccer ball with a Taeguk mark and Korea-Iraq in English, which symbolizes friendship between the two countries.
