Local Countermeasure Unit

A local countermeasure unit (led by Chang Jae-ryong, chief ambassador of Foreign Ministry) arrived in Amman, Jordan on June 22 and is working to gain the release of Mr. Kim Sun-Il, an employee of the Gana General Trading Co., who was abducted by an Iraqi armed group. It is not yet decided if the unit will enter Iraq.
