Speaking with Kim Jong-Il Indirectly

President Roh Moo-hyun (middle), former President Kim Dae-jung (right), and Lee Jong-hyuk, the vice president of the North Korea’s Asia Pacific Peace Commission, had chats at an academic seminar on June 15 to mark the fourth anniversary of the North-South Joint Declaration. Lee delivered a verbal message to Roh from Kim Jong-il, the chair of the North’s National Defense Committee.
