A Japanese-style fusion food of sushi and sashimi, which people can eat on a half-naked woman’s body, has emerged as a serious social problem in Kun Ming, Winnan Province, China.

One local restaurant in this region put out a buffet menu called “The Feast with the Woman’s Body” last Friday.

They make two college women over 170cm tall take a bath with salt and warm water. Then, if you order it, these women in underwear appear with this dish, which is decorated with flowers, small stones, and shells on their half-naked bodies.

The restaurant selected these women under its own strict standards such as a slim body, white and shining skin, and an attractive and innocent face. The price per person is 1,000 yuan (about 150,000 won). On the opening day, this spot was crowded with many customers, for it had received reservations three days in advance.

The restaurant has seven rules for its patrons: Stay more than 2m away from “The Feast with the Woman’s Body”; follow restaurant’s workers guidance and choose the menu; make your order within ten minutes; food is delivered by restaurant’s workers, so you can never touch the actual woman’s body.

This practice originated from Japan and has spread to Europe. This is the first time it has entered the Chinese stage.

Residents in the Winnan region criticized this Japanese legacy as an affront to human rights and an insult to women. But one woman expressed that if she were able to afford it, she would be willing to enjoy this dish as long as it was healthful and artistic.
