“The North Poll, the Point to Conquer Next Year”

The Park Young-Suhk expedition team has returned home through Incheon International Airport on the morning of February 5 on Korean Air after reaching the South Pole on January 13. The team, supported by the Dong-A Ilbo, recorded the world’s shortest time for a non-assisted expedition to reach the South Pole by reaching there within 44 days after the departure from the Antarctica coast of Hercules. The previous record is 48 days. Captain Park is planning on becoming the world’s first climber to complete the “Mountain Grand Slam” by climbing Mt. Everest in March and continuing with the expedition to the North Pole in February of next year.
