A Huge Caldron of Pat-Jook

On Dongji(Winter solstice), monks and Buddhists at Samkwangsa Temple in Choeub-dong, Busan are boiling pat-jook (red bean porridge with rice balls) in a huge caldron of five meters in diameter and one meter in height. The pat-jook was made from 4,400 kilos of rice and 2,000 kilos of red beans and can serve as many as 42,000 people.
