Using three-dimensional computer technology restored a fossil of the world’s oldest male ancient organism. On December 5, University of Leicester researchers announced in Science that they found a 425 million years-old fossil from a rock in Herefordshire and identified its gills, legs and penis. This 0.5cm-long organism, known as an ostracode, is sort of a mix between a shellfish and a prawn.
