Lee Soo-hyuk, an assistant secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Wi Sung-lac, the Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministry’s director general for the North American Affairs Bureau, flew to Washington on December 3 to participate in a trilateral consultation meeting on North Korea policy among South Korea, Japan, and the United States. The government expects the three sides to come up with proper measures to advance to the second round of the six-way talks in this consultation meeting.
