`The U.S. Vs. Belgium`

William sisters and the two best of Belgium will play in the final four.

Serena Williams of the U.S. will play in the semifinals against Justine Henin-Hardenne from Belgium and Venus Williams of the U.S. will play another Belgian, Kim Clijsters at the Women`s singles of Wimbledon, a major tennis competition held in third of the season.

As all the four players qualified for the semi-finals are all ranked in the top four in the world, the real battles for the best of the best have not yet been played.

Serena, who won the first major title at the French Open last month, will play No.3 seeded Henin on Wednesday to get the ticket for the final. Henin advanced with an easy victory over Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia by 2-0 (6-2, 6-2).

Serena still remembers of her painful memory which even made her cry at the semifinals at the French Open. She was about to win a fifth consecutive championship but she was defeated by Henin at the semifinals and her dream was completely destroyed. “I left all the things happened in Paris in Paris, I am only thinking of advancing to the final,” Serena said. She has been focusing on her serves which have been unstable in preparation for her revenge against Henin.

No. 4 seeded Venus, elder sister of Serena, advanced to the final four by beating No. 5 seeded Lindsay Davenport of the U.S. by 2-1 (6-2, 2-6, 6-1). Clijsters, who won the second place at the French Open, won a losing game against Silvia Farina Elia of Italy by 2-1 (5-7, 6-0, 6-1), advancing to the semifinals for the first time.

Meanwhile, reigning champions Venus and Serena Williams, having just reached the singles semi-finals, crashed out of the women`s doubles, losing the game by 2-1 to Russian Elena Dementieva and Lina Krasnoroutskaya, failing to the title defending.
