One of the best golfers among the females, Annika Sorenstam (33, Sweden) failed to qualify for the final round of the U.S. PGA Tour.
Sorenstam shot a 4-over 74 in the second round of an epoch-making men versus woman event (total prize of 5 million) at the Colonial in Fort Worth, Texas on May 24 and missed the cut by four shots. She was 5-over 145. The cutline was 1-over 141.
I disappointed many people who supported me. The course was not difficult, but I was so, so nervous, said Sorenstam crying in the middle of the interview which was held right after the game.
I will never forget the PFA tour, but now I will get back to where I belong, the LPGA she said. Sorenstam will participate in the U.S LPGA Tour Kellogg-Keebler Classic which will start from May 30.
