Former President Kim Discharged Form Hospital

Former President returned his home in Donggyodong, Seoul, in the afternoon of Friday, after being hospitalized for several days at Severance Hospital of the medical school of the Yonsei University.

He was hospitalized on May 10 and received minor heart surgery. The doctor who performed the surgery on the former president said that he is now in a good condition after recuperating from the heart surgery.

"I expressed my gratitude to the public and medical staff for wishing me a speedy recovery and the treatment I received at the hospital," Kim`s aide Kim Han-jung quoted the 77-year-old former head of state as saying. “His doctor said the former president doesn`t need additional treatment. There is no plan for seeing a doctor for the time being,” said the former president aide.
