The US Command in South Korea issued a curfew for its personnel, and has beefed up vigilance against possible terrorist attacks with the launch of the war on Iraq. One senior officer confirmed, "As of today, all US personnel are subject to a curfew, starting not at 12 a.m., but at 7:30 p.m. They are not allowed to leave the base until 5 a.m. the next day."

He also said that the US Command has strengthened its security measures to protect its personnel and their families, indicating that the security level was raised from Bravo to Charlie.
