Korean Marathon Hero, Son Gi-Jeong Is Hospitalized Owing to Pneumonia

‘Berlin Hero’ Song Gi-Jeong (90) has been hospitalized owing to pneumonia.

Hero of Marathon of Berlin Olympics, Mr. Son has been hospitalized in Samsung Seoul Hospital owing to pneumonia on September 11.

Mun-Yeong, a daughter of Mr. Son said, “A father is hospitalized because of serious pneumonia. However, he must be hospitalized and treated continuously because he is not in serious condition” She is worried “Owing to his old age, he sometimes was hospitalized. He has irregular meals. He sometimes didn’t recognize people”

Huh, Wu-Seong, his doctor said “He suffers from pneumonia because of complications from a renal failure and ateriosclerosis. When he was hospitalized, he lost his vigor. But, he recuperated his strength and had the regular meals. His kidney function was returned to a normal state. He has been doing a rehabilitation treatment because he could have bedsores.” Besides, Lee Yeon-Taek, a president of the Korean Olympic Committee visited Samsung Seoul Hospital and granted a sum of money as a special gift in the afternoon.
