Lee Woong-yul, the Chairman of Kolon Pays Highest Health Insurance Payment.

Among the members of the Workshop Health Insurance, the biggest payer of the insurance is Lee Woong-ryul, chairman of Kolon Group (ranking 17) with 8.84 million won a month, and the chairmen of top ten groups pay insurance from 530 thousand won to 6.46 million won.

According to the materials submitted to Parliament member Kim Hong-shin by National Health Insurance Corporation (NHIC), among top ten groups, Shin Gyuk-ho, the chairman of Lotte Group ranks first with the insurance payment of 6,46 million won a month (monthly payment is 178 million won), Chung Mong-ku, the chairman of Hyundai Motors, ranks second with 5.89 million won (monthly payment 1.72 million won).

The ranking forth is an unknown salary person, and the ranking fifth is Ku Bon-moo, the chairman of LG Group with 5.37 million won (monthly payment 250 million won).

Lee Kun-hee, the chairman of Samsung Group receive the biggest payment of 348 million won among the chairmen of top 10 groups, but the insurance payment is 6th with 1.84 million won.

The reason for insurance payment not being in proportion to income is that the maximum insurance payment for a member of Workshop Insurance is restricted to 1.84 million won per workshop.

Chairman Lee only receives salary from Samsung Electronic, on the other hand chairman Shin receives salary from 10 companies and chairman Chung and Ku receive salary from 4 companies each.

The smallest payer among top 10 groups is Chung Mong-hun, chairman of Hyundai.
