Advanced Wireless Internet in Jeju Island

International Tourist City, Jeju Island has been intensively developed as the wireless Internet Infra activation area with the advanced wireless Internet infra.

Such as KT, LG-IBM, Intel Korea and Jystech, the wireless Internet-related companies agreed to progress jointly the product of ‘Mobile Jeju’ with Jeju provincial office and exchanged the MOU on August 21.

Jeju provincial office will install the wireless Internet facility in major areas such as Jeju International Airport, Jungmun tourist attraction and hotels and will provide the high-speed wireless Internet service to tourists.

Accordingly, tourists will be able to use the wireless Internet service of 11Mbps using the information appliances such as a notebook computer and PDA. It will plan to lend the information appliances such as the notebook computer free of charge to tourists who expect to use the wireless Internet and will collect the cheap service fees.

The Jeju Island expects to enhance the international standing as the international free city by providing the world best wireless Internet service to tourists.
