Mobile International Roaming Billing Center Will Be Established in the Second Half of the Next Year

There will be the International Roaming Billing Center which settles the fares of the

international roaming service with a mobile phone in foreign countries, in Korea.

The Ministry of Information and Communication said on August 8 that three companies such as SK Telecom, KTF and LG Telecom exchange the MOU agreed upon the establishment of the international roaming billing center, and so it will established in the second half of the next year.

The International Roaming Billing Center is the company specialized in the roaming data processing of the mobile companies and the call charges settlement. Korea plans to establish the billing center based on the CDMA service.

Min, Won-Gi, the assistant manager of the communication business department, the Ministry of Information and Communication said “Through establishing the International Roaming Billing Center, the CDMA Belt will be extended focused on the Asia and Oceania and the huge incomes of the settlement commission will be acquired.”
