Arisen in the World Cup 2002, a passion and underlying strength of Korean people surprised the world and ourselves.

Who made us to be crazy about the cheering for a period of short time?

I believe that the Korea will be able to advance to the semi-finals of the world national strength if a competent political leader like Guus Hiddink appears after seeing howling people in the Square of the city hall, Seoul.

It is the time to prepare the post World Cup. The government and private organization try to establish a variety of measures. However, we must take warning by a failure of Seoul Olympics.

To revive a great performance of the national passion and strength, there are several ideas for an assignment of the post World Cup as follows.

First, make the tourist attraction of the area of Gwanghwamun and city hall for a street cheering, because the area is a scene of ‘Red Devils’ and focused by the public attention of the world.

Specify a certain area and then name it as ‘World Cup Square’ or ‘Hiddink Square’. Make this area as the attracted Square of World through benchmarking of the western model or changing all a road, tree, light, road packing, and color of building into a traditional way of Korea.

Second, erect a bronze status for Guus Hiddink who is the Korea team coach in this street and Square. Also, leave footmarks of heroic World Cup players, coaches and supporting group.

Third, establish a small World Cup Memorial Hall where continuously shows the pictures for the World Cup 2002 in this area. It will show an euphoria and passion of Korean to foreign tourists who visit here and will let Korean people feel a dramatic scene of World Cup.

Fourth, produce and display dolls made by a wax paper for the remarkable picture among pictures for World Cup 2002.

Fifth, set up the day that Korea advanced to the semi finals as the national festival.

Invite the worldwide soccer cheering teams including ‘Ultra Nipon of Japan, Chiumi of China and other teams from South America and Europe, characterized on the street cheering for that festival. It will be more effective to add the cheering competition and fashion shows.
