LG Electronics, Dedication Ceremony of the 2nd Factor in China

LG Electronics has completed its 2nd factory (photo) in China, which will produce 18 million photonic storages including digital CDs and DVDs in Guandung, China on 20th. Therefore, the LG Electronics Foundation in China equipped with two factories is capable of producing 42 million photonic storages per year.

Guh Bon-Mu, CEO and President of LG, emphasized at the ceremony to dedicate the completion in China, “LG could develop the world best factory in Guangdung thanks to the radical localization strategy. By the completion of this factory, we confirm our top rank in the world.”

Particularly, the second factory in Guangdung was completed by the investment of the profit from the Foundation established in 1993.

A related person of the LG Restructuring Headquarters explained, “CEO and President Guh visits the factory in order to confirm the localization strategy and the top ranking of LG in China, which is rapidly growing as the world largest market.
