Total Three NKD, If Early Will Leave China Today

North Korean defectors tried to enter Japanese and American consulate, located in Sun Yang, Ryaoning on 8th, therefore, diplomatic conflict is stirring up between Japan, the U.S. and China.

With regard to the issue that five NKD, who were relatives of Jang Gil-Soo`s failed to enter Japanese Consulate in Shenyang, international criticism is rising such as Japan responded negatively on the matter of protecting NKD human rights and China responded excessively.

Besides, one NKD entered U.S. consulate on 9th, where two NKD succeeded to enter on 8th, and requested asylum.

requested extradition of five NKD like Mr. Kim Gwang-cheol (28), relative of Mr. Jang Gil-Soo, who was taken by Chinese police after entering Japanese consulate in Shenyang.

Japanese foreign minister, Gawakuchi Yoriko regretted to Chinese government, saying, “it is not right in view of Bin treaty (that regulates diplomatic privilege like non-aggression in public hall) ”.

However, Chinese ambassador in Japan, Woodawei, who received protest from Japanese vice-minister, Dakeuchi Yukio, was called in Japanese foreign ministry, stated that it was not violation of Bin treaty, saying, “ there was no other intention, as Chinese police took action in order to reinforce safety of Japanese consulate ”.

Sankei newspaper reported that one Japanese who knew the plan of NKD, that they would try to enter Japanese consulate, informed it to Japanese consulate in Shenyang, however, they couldn`t respond properly.

Related to this, Korean government requested co-operation from China so that five relatives of Mr. Gill-Soo can decide their destination following their hope.

▽ The issue that NKD entered U.S. consulate= Mr. Lee Gwang-cheol (21), who is from Pyeong Yang, left the line while standing with 30 Chinese, who were in queue for receiving U.S. visa at 09:05 A.M. (KST, 10:05 A.M.) climbed over the 2m wall and entered U.S consulate, local quarters delivered.

According to foreign quarters in Beijing, U.S consulate is discussing matter of asylum of Mr.Lee and Mr. Song Yong-Beom (38), Mr.Jung Beom-chul (36) who entered U.S consulate one day ago.

And if early, they might leave China on 10th.
