Candidate Roh Moo-Hyun topped with 1328 votes (62.5 percent) out of total 2124 votes at Busan primary for New Millennium Democratic Party`s presidential nomination held at Sajik Stadium in Busan on the 20th. Candidate Chung Dong-young scored 796 votes (37.5 percent).

As a result, Roh earned total 11,030 votes (78.4 percent) while Chung 3036 votes (21.6 percent). The turnout of Busan primary, which was held immediately after the withdrawal of Rhee In-Je, was 41.9 percent the lowest so far.

Candidate Lee Hoi-Chang overwhelmed the vote by earning 361 votes (73.4 percent) out of total 492 ballots in Jeju primary for Grand National Party`s presidential nomination race at Hanra Gym in Jeju city on the 20th. Candidate Choe Byung-Yul followed Lee with 65 votes (13.2 percent). A cumulative earnings of Lee is 1918 votes (72.4 percent), which is 1568 votes more than Choe`s 350 votes (13.2 percent). Turnout of Jeju primary was 72.8 percent.
