As spam mails, which are advertisement emails that spread in massive amount, have become a social issue, the Spam-mail interception industry is rapidly rising. Damages from Spam mails widely spread through corporations, public institutions, and individuals in this year, and there is an increasing number of enterprises that adopt Spam mail interception system.
According to experts on the 26th, the domestic Spam mail interception market now has 10 competing products, and the market scale would reach 20 billion won within this year. Software and security enterprise Jiransoft’s president Oh Chi-Young predicted, “Spam mail interception business will sooner or later grow as big as virus vaccine or firewall businesses.”
Jiransoft has targeted email-server holders like corporations and public institutions, and introduced `Spam Sniper`. It is a product that uses a virtual email address as bait to filter and trace Spam mails, and it will soon be introduced as an Application Service Provider (ASP).
After introducing its email interception product `Mail Shield` at the beginning of the year, Plustech is actively capturing the market for public institutions and private corporations. As demands from schools, Internet service providers, and financial institutions, increased, over 20 customers will be secured during the year’s first half.
Web-mail enterprise 3R Soft is to introduce the system that is installed at web-mail servers to filter out Spam mails by next month. This product is highly compatible with various web-mail servers, which Internet enterprises are already maintaining.
Also, Wowfree Communication, Korea Trend Micro, and Idolpia have also completed their system development, and joined the market competition.
