Lee Jong-Nam, chairperson of BAI, announced its policy in his speech given at the invitation meeting by Korea Audit and Inspection Association at Hilton Hotel in Seoul by saying, "I will try to improve the living environment for middle class and ordinary people by inspecting the systems meant to guarantee standard living conditions and examine policies for stable employment." Mr. Lee added, "We will inspect the `measures preventing traffic accidents` in order to reduce the casualties from traffic accidents, whose numbers are up to 420,000 persons a year, an increase of 10 percent."
