Ex- Supreme Public Prosecutor General Shin Seung Nam resigned on the 15th, taking responsibility for his younger brother who is involved in the `Lee Yong Ho- scandal`.
Shin attended the day’s retirement ceremony that took place at the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office with about 200 executive members gathered, and said, "I regret leaving without completing the prosecution reform which I have been pursuing since the start, and I feel sorry for junior prosecutors as I leave them a heavy burden."
Shin also said in the previous press interview, "I decided to resign under the judgment that the prosecution should have no burden, and the citizens should not be concerned because of me."
In addition, Shin requested the prosecution members "to do their best to gain people’s trust and love under the command of a new prosecutor general."
