“Kim Eun-Sung also Received 10 Million Won“

The Seoul District Prosecution is investigating on the suspicion that Kim Eun-Sung, former vice director of the National Intelligence Service, created a `Jin Seung-Hyun list` which included the names of the Presidential families and threatened the Prosecution leaders and the ruling party`s leaders during the first investigation last year.

A high ranking official of the Prosecution said, "Mr. Kim threatened the high officials of the Prosecution and the ruling party, asking that `how would you deal with this? If this list is leaked, the future of this government will in trouble`."

The Prosecution also revealed by the account trace that Mr. Kim received about 10 million won through a third person from Jin Seung-Hyun, the owner of MCI Korea.

A high ranking official of the Seoul District Prosecution said, "by the end of the week when the investigation on the former Vice Justice Minister Shin Kwang-Ok is over, the Prosecution will summon vice director Kim to investigate thoroughly on the charge of abuse of his authority and the bribery."

He also said, "Vice Director Kim has the key to the `Jin Seung-Hyun Gate. The Prosecution is reviewing the laws that could be applied to the charge of vice director Kim."

A high official of the Prosecution said, "when vice director Kim appears in the Prosecutors Office, we will clarify whether he worked for the rescue of Mr. Jin, including the press report that he requested the Public Prosecutors Office not to indict Mr. Jin last year."

Meanwhile, the Prosecution summoned former Vice Minister, who is known as having received 2-3 million won several times, total 10-20 million won, from Mr. Choi, to appear in the Prosecutors Office in 19th morning.

The Prosecution received a testimony from Mr. Choi that he had introduced "Mr. Jin to the former Vice Minister Shin in a Japanese restaurant at P Hotel in Seoul last May."
