The government established a joint investigation team to set for the review of the official discipline of the 40 central departments and local governments from Dec. 10.

The 5 Bureau of the Board of Audit and Inspection also will begin its secret inspections on the official disciplines from mid December through January next year.

A government official said, "more robust investigation of this year will focus on the political lineups of the government officials, corruption cases related to the permission and authorization, public health, and construction, pork-barreling administration for the local government election, and the luxurious entertainment of the government officials."

Prime Minister Lee Han-Dong ordered to tighten up the official discipline at the turning of the year. He mentioned, "the government officials should take lead in creating a calm and orderly atmosphere at the turning of the year. Each Minister might want to re-examine the official disciplines and make up the necessary measures, especially paying attention to security."
