The political conflict is increasing between rival parties. Grand National Party (GNP) insisted that the major figures of the `Lee Yong-Ho gate` are New Millennium Democratic Party (NMDP)`s Rep. Kim Hong-Il, President Kim Dae-Jung`s eldest son, Kwon Rho-Kap, a NMDP`s advisor, and Jeong Hak-Mo, the president of LG Sports Group, at the National Assembly interpellation session on economic affairs on Oct, 19th. In responding to this, NMDP will take a legal action.

In the interpellation session, GNP Rep. Ahn Kyeong-Ryul said, ``It is rumored that the initials K, K, J, the three major figures of the Lee Yong-Ho gate, refer to Rep. Kim, the senior advisor Kwon, and president Jeong.`` ``There is an internal criticism in the prosecution itself that the reason for stopping the scandal investigation by charging only Lee Yong-Ho and Yeo Woon-Hwan is because of these three people.``

Rep. Ahn asked whether or not the government can confirm, ``Jeong performed proxy power using his relationship with Rep. Kim, received various special concessions, and voiced in appointments. Whenever Jeong and Rep. Kim stayed at Gwangju Prado Hotel, they met together with the owner of the hotel Yeo Woon-Hwan.``

Rep. Ahn raised the suspicion that Jeong lobbied for `E` and `J` construction companies for their participating in the Daegu-Daedong highway and Seoul circular load construction works, and received 3 percent of the total construction costs. He also asked prosecution investigation on this matter.

Another GNP`s Rep., Yoo Seong-Keun, said, ``Jeong accompanied Rep. Kim on a three-day trip to Jeju Island on Aug. 4,`` by revealing an intelligence report on the trip.

`` The rumors on Kim Hyun-Chul, the eldest son of the former president Kim Young-Sam, were proven as facts.`` Rep. Yoo continued and asked, ``Whether or not the government will suggest a presidential decision on Rep. Kim as the former government did.``

In responding to these charges, Rep. Kim said, ``I accompanied Jeong, who is my college alumnus, on my vacation to Jeju Island. But I do not know Lee Yong-Ho and am not involved in the Lee Yong-Ho gate at any rate. I will take a legal action against Rep. Ahn and Yoo.``

A source from the senior advisor Kwon and Jeong showed the plan for filing the lawsuits.

Prime Minister Lee Han Dong, in his answering session, said, ``I have not heard anything like (the questions of Rep. Ahn and Yoo). If anything is confirmed in the investigation of prosecution, which is being fully carried out, one who is related in illegal affairs will be treated according to the law and principle without exception.`` Rep. Lee Jae-Oh, the floor leader of GNP, said, ``GNP is identifying the report that some people have earned a huge amount of illegal profits by changing the land-usage laws and regulations in seven areas, four areas of Seoul`s satellite citie,s including Bundain and Tanchon, and three small local cities.``
