The U.S. House of Representatives will propose a resolution to request the Japanese government for the apology and the compensation to the victims of the Japanese Military Sexual Slavery.

The Korean Youth Corps in the U.S. (chairperson Yoon Dae-Jung) revealed that U.S. Representative Evans (D. Illinois) would present the resolution on July 24. The resolution will include the official apology of the Japanese government for the military sexual slavery of the young East-Asian women by the name of the `Comfort Women` and the immediate compensation to the victims of the Japanese Military Slavery.

Particularly, the resolution demands an official acceptance and rightful teachings to the descendents to prevent the recurrence of the tremendous inhumane crimes.

Chairperson Yoon said that ``Rep. Evans is very interested in the human rights issues and the peace in the Korean peninsula. The meaning of the resolution to request the Japanese responsibility is more significant because the resolution will be presented to the U.S. House of Representatives while the Bush administration stands for the Japanese government in regard to the Military Sexual Slavery matters.``

After delivering a public letter endorsed by the 300 U.S. NGOs to the U.S. State Department, the organization will hold a rally to protest against the U.S. governmental request for the dismissal of the MSS lawsuits on July 23 and 24.
