Samsung Will Place `Human-friendly Robot` on Sale Next Year

Samsung Electronics announced yesterday that it had invented two kinds of `human-friendly robot.` And these robots will be placed on sale early next year.

These robots, named `iComar` and `Antor`, were created based on the industry robot manufacture technology. `iComar`, with the height of 60 cm and weight of 10 kg, has the device of Pentium MMX 266 MHz CPU. It can move around by itself and communicate with family since it comes with the voice recognition device. Since `iComar` has camera, microphone, and sensory device as well as it internet based design, one can watch their house through the robot from outside and communicate with it through the screen.

`Antor`, with the height of 35 cm and the weight of 2 kg, is as flexible as human since it has 20 joints. Samsung Electronics will display these robots at KOFA 2001 exhibition in KOEX between 22nd ~ 25th.
