`JSA` wins grand prix at Deauville Asian Film Festival

``Joint Security Area (JSA),`` the highest-grossing film in Korean history, took home the trophy for top movie, the best actor prize and the people`s choice award at the 3rd Asian Film Festival in Deauville, France, Sunday.

``JSA`` tells of the forbidden friendship between South and North Korean soldiers serving in the Joint Security Area in the truce village of Panmunjom. Director Park Chan-Wook received the jury`s Lotus award for best Asian film, while actor Song Kang-Ho earned the Lotus for best actor for his role as a North Korean soldier. ``JSA`` was also chosen as the favorite film among ordinary festivalgoers.
