Probe on public funds to begin around Mar. 20

A special investigation by the Board of Audit and Inspection (BAI) on a total of 168.2 trillion won in public funds meant to finance corporate sector restructuring will begin from around March 20. Noting that the special inspection would look into the creation, execution, management and withdrawal of public funds, a senior BAI official said, ``Although the National Assembly’s investigation of state affairs has not yet been completed, BAI plans to launch its special inspection around March 20.``
