South and North Korea exchanged lists Friday of 100 people each whose family members on the other side of the demarcation line will be identified and located.
The second exchange of names was made between Red Cross liaison officers stationed at the truce village of Panmunjom.
The Seoul government and the Korea National Red Cross released the list from the North to the local mass media as a first step in confirming the fates and whereabouts of those listed. The list carries the name, age, sex, address and occupation (at the time of separation) of relatives of the North Korean applicants. An agreement reached during the 3rd round of Red Cross talks calls for the results of the searches to be compiled by Feb. 23.
