Chonbuk Hyundai Motors wins FA Cup

Chonbuk Hyundai Motors took the first trophy in the club¡¯s history, engineered by goals by this year¡¯s K-League top scorer Kim Do-Hoon, 30, and rookie of the year Yang Hyun-Jung, 23.

Kim, who a league-high 12 goals, and Yang, the top rookie of the year, scored each for their team¡¯s 2-0 rout of Songnam Ilhwa Chunma in the FA Cup final at Cheju Stadium on Tuesday for Chonbuk¡¯s first-ever championship title since its inauguration in 1995.

Chonbuk took home the coveted money prize of 50 million won.

The MVP award of the season¡¯s last tournament went to Chonbuk¡¯s Park Sung-Bae, who netted two goals.
