Choi Yong-Soo named pro soccer MVP, Yang Hyun-Jung Rookie of Year

Striker Choi Yong-Soo of Anyang LG was chosen as MVP of the Korean pro soccer league, while Yang Hyung-Jung of Chonbuk Hyundai Motor was named as Rookie of the Year.

Choi garnered 66 of the total 88 ballots in a vote of soccer reporters held at the Korea Football Association building in Sinmunno, downtown Seoul, Friday. Choi beat out Kim Do-Hoon of Chonbuk, the K-league¡¯s top scorer this year.

Yang won 46 ballots to win Rookie of the Year honors ahead of midfielder Lee Young-Pyo of Anyang, who garnered 34 ballots.
