Korea and the United States will hold a meeting on the joint Nogun-ri probe in Washington Nov. 3 and 6. The meeting will be attended by Lieut. Gen. Kim Chong-Hwan, chief of the four-member Korean investigative team, and Lieut. Gen. Michael Ackerman, head of the six-member U.S. investigative team. The two sides are expected to examine their respective findings item by item and review the results of their probes.

Based on the outcome of the joint probe team¡¯s investigations, the two sides will hold a government-level countermeasure meeting in December to wrap up the scrutiny of the Nogun-ri incident and work out follow-up steps.

So far, the two countries have held four rounds of joint probe talks and eight rounds of expert-level talks to consult on related materials and testimonies.
