Korea and Russia have agreed to hold a joint economic cooperation committee meeting to discuss the question of outstanding debt of US$1.75 billion that Russia has failed to repay.

Also, they agreed to conduct a joint feasibility study of the Irkutsk gas field from next year and form an industrial estate in Nakhodka from next month at the earliest.

Prime Minister Lee Han-Dong and his Russian counterpart held a meeting at the Russian federal government office building in Moscow and reached an agreement on those issues.
