8 or 9 out of 10 students experience dying hair.

A research revealed that 8 to 9 out of 10 Korean university students have experiences of dying their hair.

According to an investigation by the school nowspaper of Won Kwang university in Iksan of North Cholla province on 100 enrolled university students, 80% of male students and 94% of female students have dyed their hair or once dyed their hair.

Out of these students, almost half (49%) replied that they dye their hair at least once or twice a year. 24% replied more than three times a year and 14% replied frequently.

Brown is the most preferred color among male students (44%) as well as female students (62%). Yellow, breaching, Grey and rainbow color followed after.

When asked why they dye their hair, 32% of male students replied ¡°to show individualism¡±, 14% replied ¡°to follow the trend¡± and 6% replied ¡°to relieve stress¡± while 28% of female students replied ¡°at the request of a friend¡±, 20% replied ¡°for a change¡± and 12% replied ¡®just to feel like it¡±.
