Newton-John gets Korea-Australia honor

World-famous pop singer Olivia Newton-John, 53, will be named a Korea-Australia goodwill ambassador August 21. Newton-John, who will give a concert in Seoul on August 22, will be officially entrusted to serve as the goodwill ambassador by the Australia-Korea Foundation, hosted by the Australian government at the Australian Embassy in Seoul.

She was born in Britain but emigrated to Australia at the age of 5 with her family. She earned fame with such big hits as ¡°Magic¡± and ¡°Physical,¡± and also enjoyed popularity as an actress by appearing in ¡°Grease¡± and ¡°Xanadu.¡±
