Korean woman dies paragliding in Germany

A Korean woman participating in the European paragliding championship in Germany died during the competition, according to AFP.

The news agency reported that she crashed into a valley after losing balance faced with a gust of wind when she crossed the German border and flew into Austria.

She is one of Korea`s top female paragliders, who won the third place at the 1997 World Cup paragliding championship. At this year`s European championship, she was ranked fourth after four rounds of competition.

The event opened July 29, with a total of 123 players from around the world, including three Koreans, participating.
