Jung Sung-Min lifts Shinsegae

`A Shinsegae win made by and for Jung Sung-Min.` Jung launched the ball into the air as the game-ending buzzer wailed and then collapsed on the floor with tears in her eyes.

The Shinsaegae Coolcats rose to become the new queens of the women`s summer basketball league.

On the 27th, Shinsegae beat the Hyundai Construction Hyperions 81-70 in game 2 of the series at Jangchoong Gymnasium to secure the champion trophy of the Hanvit Bank 2000 Women`s Basketball Summer League.

No doubt, the heroine behind Shinsaegae`s resurrection was Jung Sung-Min. Jung scored 26 points and snatched 11 rebounds to pave the way for Shinsaegae`s victory.

She was voted MVP unanimously by the press. After the game, Jung said, "I`m elated. All the hard work paid off, and I would like to thank everyone who kept their faith in me when I was injured."
