FBI Director James Comey wrote in a letter to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on Sunday, "Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July with respect to Secretary Clinton.” After one-year investigations, the FBI recommended the Justice Department should not prosecute Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server. Despite an additional investigation, the FBI announced it decided not to change its conclusion nine days later.
Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri told reporters, "We're glad that this matter is resolved." Meanwhile, Donald Trump said in his campaign in Sterling Heights in Michigan, “The rigged system protected guilty Clinton.” He made it clear that he would continue raising suspicions to the last minute, saying that Hillary would not be free from the horrible crime (of leaking confidential information).
The U.S. presidential election – which was highlighted as a competition between Clinton and Trump – will be held in the U.S. on Tuesday. The two candidates were close until the last minute. Clinton (44.9 percent) is leading Trump (42.7 percent) only by 2.2 percentage points as of Sunday morning, according to the poll of the RealClearPolitics. It is not easy to predict who will be the next U.S. president with 216 electors who will vote for Clinton, 164 for Trump and 158 still undecided.
