Coming to Korea by invitation of meditation group Telga Korea, Mingyur Rinpoche will hold a meditation training at the Korea Bhikuni Association in southern Seoul on Friday and Saturday, and will lecture about "fulfilling myself in the uncertain age with pleasure" on next Tuesday. He will also lecture at Hongbeop Temple in Busan on Nov. 11 on his fulfillment during wandering for the past four years.
Mingyur Rinpoche has visited Korea in 2011 and has since been meditating for four and a half years. It is his first official event after ending the meditation.
He is dubbed the happiest man in the world. The Waisman Laboratory for Brain Imaging and Behavior at the University of Wisconsin in 2002 filmed his brain activities through MRI and saw alpha wave, which comes out when a person feels happy, was seven to eight times that of normal people.
Mingyur Rinpoche has recognized as Tibetan Buddhist Mingyur Rinpoche's seventh reincarnation at age three, and also a reincarnation of the 20th century religious leader Kanpo Rinpoche. He has since 1998 been lecturing on the Buddhism virtue and modern brain and psychology science around the world.
