Apple's music streaming service "Apple Music" has officially launched in Korea at 8 a.m. on Friday. , Apple has been streaming its music service to around 100 nations worldwide since June 2015, but its music business in Korea was delayed due to copyright contract issues. The service initiated without a separate announcement by Apple.
Korean subscribers can sign up for either 7.99 U.S. dollars (around 8,900 won) a month individual plans or 11.99 dollars a month family plans (max. six members). The plans are approximately 2-3 dollars cheaper than other global service fees. In addition, Apple will provide three-month trial service.
Apple Music will be available not only on Apple devices, but also on Android mobile phones. Android users can use the service by downloading the Apple Music application at Google Play. Apple Music is currently known to offer more than 30 million songs ranging from K-Pop to other global songs.
