Korea's design firm Inno Design has partnered with French 3D software firm Dassault Systems and U.S. 3D printer maker Stratasys to launch "Design 2020" project aimed at fostering outstanding designers.

The trio will select 20 designers in their 20s through portfolio screening. The selected youth will build 3D design production experience at Inno Design Center in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province starting July, and announce their final outcome at the annual Dassault conference in early October. During the process, Dassault will offer 3D software education and Stratasys 3D printing equipment and materials. Inno Design will provide mentoring to individual designers, while helping commercialize outstanding product designs and employment of designers.

Eligible designers can submit their 3D portfolio and a letter of self-introduction through email (innokr@innodesign.com).

"3D design and printing are a big story but Korean designers are yet unfamiliar," Inno Design CEO Kim Yeong-se. "The project is aimed at fostering next-generation Korean designers with an ultimate goal of the digitalization of Korean design."
