U.S. President Barack Obama has once again declared a war on cyberterrorism in his State of the Union address, which laid out his policy plans for this year. The declaration came just a week after he called for cyber security legislation at a meeting with congressional leaders at the White House. During a visit to the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center, Obama said, "Cyber threats pose an enormous challenge for our country. It`s one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation."

In in his State of the Union address at the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday, Obama said, "No foreign nation, no hacker, should be able to shut down our networks, steal our trade secrets, or invade the privacy of American families, especially our kids. We are making sure our government integrates intelligence to combat cyber threats, just as we have done to combat terrorism."

On January 13, he declared that the U.S. would ensure to make the North feel judgment of justice in full force. In Wednesday`s address, however, he made no direct mention of North Korea.

In the address, he also expressed his commitment to reviving the middle class by increasing taxes on the wealthy during his last two years in office. "Let’s close the loopholes that lead to inequality by allowing the top one percent to avoid paying taxes on their accumulated wealth," Obama said. "We can use that money to help more families pay for childcare and send their kids to college."
