Mourning fallen maritime officer

The relatives of the late Cpl. Lee Cheong-ho, a police commando of the Incheon headquarters under the Korea Coast Guard, sob at the funeral parlor of Inha University Hospital Monday afternoon. Lee was killed in the morning after being stabbed by the skipper of a Chinese fishing boat in waters 87 kilometers southwest of Socheong Island in Ongjin County, Incheon. Korean maritime police tried to capture Chinese fishing boats that were illegally fishing within Korea’s exclusive economic zone.
