Desperate Attempt at Freedom

North Korean defectors enter the Danish Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam, yesterday. Danish ambassador to Vietnam Peter Lysholt Hansen confirmed that the North Koreans entered his embassy. A South Korean human rights activist who helped them said the nine defectors entered the embassy with another South Korean activist, adding all nine sought political asylum. The South Korean and Vietnamese foreign ministries provided no information on the situation.
