The Dong-A Ilbo will feature the vivid and colorful adventures of the Jang Bogo expedition team, an event to mark the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth, through cross-media platform.

Cross-media is a new media platform that crosses a variety of media such as newspapers, magazines, broadcasting and the Internet. The expedition will be covered by the editorial bureau of the daily and Dong-A Science for distribution as articles, video clips and documentary films on www.donga.com.

The expedition will be covered by Dong-A media including the daily, Science Dong-A, Science Dong-A for Kids, donga.com, Dong-A Science and Internet protocol television.

The Dong-A Ilbo and Donga.com will often cover the expedition’s activities and results and chronicle the team’s experience through four documentary films next year. The first film will cover ecological changes in the Caribbean coral reef and environment changes around the world.

The second will focus on the lower reaches of Amazon River tributaries such as the Strait of Magellan, marine plant life in Patagonia, and ice sheets.

The third will cover Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, the highlight of the expedition, to honor Darwin, and the final one will feature cross-country travel in the South Pacific and the expedition’s results.

In addition, the expeditions will be featured at a Darwin exhibition slated for Nov. 14 at Gwacheon National Science Museum to commemorate its opening in Gyeonggi Province, as well as in a Web science newspaper www.thescience.co.kr.
