The Incheon landing saved South Korea from collapse, fending off the invading North Korean army in the earlier stage of the Korean War. Ahead of the run-up to the 58th anniversary of the historic operation Monday, a reenactment of the operation is held in waters off Wolmi Island, Incheon, early yesterday. Korean amphibious assault vehicles (KAAV) are showing up on the beach.
